GIRL ON FIRE To Tour With 10 YEARS, KILL DEVIL HILL
Seattle
rockers GIRL ON FIRE are returning to the road, joining 10 YEARS for a
week of late October dates before sharing a November run with Century
Media Records labelmates KILL DEVIL HILL and EYES SET TO KILL. Also
providing support on the KILL DEVIL HILL headlining tour will be BLACK
WATER RISING (see dates below).
The
upcoming tours are the latest chapter in the GIRL ON FIRE story, which
is developing at radio with "The Takedown" and blossoming with
ever-growing fan and media support nationwide. The single is the lead
track from the band's debut album 'NOT BROKEN' - click here to watch the
official music video.
"Taking
STORY OF THE YEAR's anthemic punch, TRUST COMPANY's vocal melodies,
later EIGHTEEN VISIONS swagger, and a bunch of early LINKIN PARK sneer,
this is big shiny rock purposely built for radio... they are damn
effective at what they do." --Outburn
"This
album is everything you could want in a rock album and more... The
album's debut single 'The Takedown' could stand high atop the pedestal
with the likes of many of the active rock hits from the past decade." --New Transcendence (10/10)
"GIRL ON FIRE's energy gushes through the speakers when 'Not Broken' is
properly cranked. It is the type of album that makes you yearn to see
the band live. ...if GIRL ON FIRE can replicate the feel of their debut
album in the live environment, it is certain to be a scorching good time
for all in attendance." --Helping Hands Rock Reviews
GIRL
ON FIRE introduced 'NOT BROKEN' to America on the road in support of
BUCKCHERRY, and joined HALESTORM for dates following a performance at
the Monster Energy Aftershock Festival September 14.
The
band have released behind-the-scenes videos offering a look at the
album's recording process - click to watch the reports on drums, guitar and bass. You can also watch a five-track album sampler and lyric video here.

AMULET signs worldwide deal with Century Media Records
Heavy
metal was founded in England and still lives in England. London's
AMULET quickly gained attention in the underground scene with their demo
Cut The Crap in 2011. The tape sold out fast as did the 7"
version, which is starting to become a collector's item. After
supporting bands like PAGAN ALTAR, MANILLA ROAD and THE SWORD and
playing festivals like Bloodstock (UK), Hell's Pleasure (Germany) and
Muskelrock (Sweden), Century Media Records became very interested in
AMULET. Now a worldwide deal has been signed to spread the gospel of
Heavy Metal.
The band comments: "AMULET
want to thank all those who have helped take the band to this point,
especially the efforts put in from previous axe slingers and of course
the mysterious Hangman. To our fans, thanks for storming the front rows
and banging your heads. We are excited for the future, it's time to let
Heavy Metal reign supreme!"
AMULET
formed in 2010. The group is comprised of friends who met at various
shows over the years and realized that they all wanted to make the same
powerful and honest music. Guitarist Heathen Steven and bassist Bill
Dozer founded the band; they were soon joined by Dave Sherwood on drums
and vocalist Jamie Elton, and then they were completed with the addition
of lead guitarist Nippy Blackford.
The
5-piece is inspired by the golden-era of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, but
they add a focused and slightly doomy, riff-heavy sound of their own.
Fans can expect short songs with catchy vocals, heavy riffs, soaring
leads and bone-shaking bass, driven to the limit with pounding drums. A
sound that fits somewhere after "classic" BLACK SABBATH, but before
METALLICA's scene-defining debut.
Check out www.youtube.com/amuletmetal for AMULET's Cut The Crap session videos, plus an amazing acoustic performance at Bloodstock, and more.
Expect AMULET's debut album to be released sometime in 2014 via Century Media Records. Stay tuned for more news coming soon!
AMULET live:
11.9.2013 - Heavy Sound Festival - Kouter, Belgium (w/ GRIM REAPER, ALPHA TIGER, etc.)
